What are the advantages of running a standalone? smog legal in Cali?

no will not be smog legal in our glorious state:( need to have the OBDI or II per smog regs here.

Unless you have some real unique needs, Maestro is probably your best bet IMO. No sense in having to have to spend time dialing in all your idle and part throttle maps if you don't have to.

Like Monkey stated, If your not running a massive turbo/massive injectors and some crazy set up, its not worth it. I am running the GT28RS on my 1.8t and the car is tuned on 18lbs and I love it. No need for a standalone at this point.
