I will be helping a friend fix his leaking valve covers tomorrow. I am trying to find a DIY guide on how to do them but all I find is VC replacements for 1.8T's.
Is it harder to do it on a 2.8 than on the 1.8T?
Is there any DIY that I am missing? I have been searching for a bit (on here and google) and can't find any help...

Thanks...

Is it similar to that of changing it on 2.7T's?

It's almost the same. It's just easier on the 2.8

I'd suggest you cover all the bases and do the cam chain adjuster gaskets and the cam plugs at the same time. Almost all the time, the cam chain adjuster gaskets are leaking most of the oil anyway.
