6 Month update since my install, here is my previous thread regarding installation issues:
http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/367541-2008-A4-Issues-With-Connecting-My-Pioneer-AVIC-Z120BT?highlight=PPLAPW
After 6 months with my navigation installed, I'm even more satisfied with my B7 since it completed what I've always wanted (Quattro, Black, Manual, Navi) The installation was one of the more difficult audio installs I've done but still not impossible. I highly recommend integrating it with the stock steering wheel controls. My only gripe about the Z120-BT, is the clarity and ease of use of the bluetooth. The stock bluetooth was much more flawless. Oh well, the benefits of the other features make it worth it. :)
Here is a post with the parts needed:
Anyways you would need these to have it ready to go

That looks really good! The screen seems really high quality.
I may have to give up the RNS-E for something like this now... Lol

I have this one too - love it - so much better than RNS-E in function alone. Looks amazing too with that gorgeous display.

did you have satellite radio in your car before and if so can you still use it? i want to find a nice aftermarket nav that lets you still use satellite radio

I don't know of any aftermarket receivers that you can use your stock Sat in - all of them have their own Sat units. I have the Pioneer XM receiver in mine (aftermarket Sat receivers are brand specific)

so all you need is a aftermarket sat. receiver to make it work?
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_26808_Pioneer-AVIC-Z120BT.html according to that its sat radio ready?

the avic-z120 is the tits. i have the z110 in my expedition. the difference between the two is pandora radio on the z120. either way, this is the best Navi solution out there. period

I have an 06 A4 and just installed the Z120BT with Pioneer XM receiver. What cable did you buy to adapt the factory antenna (two outputs) to the Pioneer XM receiver (one input)?
Thanks!

If it is like how I put a dual XM module in my 08 with a single factory wire... I used Terk antenna splitter (I did have to cut off a little nub, for it to fit in):

It looks like my scenario is the opposite of yours. I have the pictured adapter and it doesn't work. It is made to adapt from a single output antenna to a dual input receiver. Thanks for the quick response.

Surprisingly it looks pretty good and I am sure u are happy with functionality. Whats the trim around it?

It is ready XM/Sirius READY - you still have to buy the pioneer XM/Sirius module to connect to it - that's what actually decodes the sat signal for the receiver.

Got it from the Enfig site - let me see if I can find that link again...

To clarify, that's what you use to hook up your factory antenna to your Pioneer head unit.

The screen is very impressive, the movies look great too. :) and I chose this over the RNS-E due to the extra functionality, and I probably would have spent more sourcing all the OEM parts.

Indeed.

The trim? you mean the 'little frame' that surrounds the unit? That just comes with the install kit, such as this one: http://enfigcarstereo.com/PIONEER_ADT_VA133.html
The one i have was purchased at a local audio shop.

Had a Pioneer Avic F90BT for over a year and the Non-OEM look ate me alive so i went with the OEM looking Dynavin unit and I like it just as much as the Pioneer.
