Have 2007 A4 quattro 2.0 with 51,000 miles and cel came on. Dealer has performed all scheduled maintenance thru 45,000 miles. However, I don't want to take to dealer with this problem: Using OBDII software, the codes were P0507(idle speed too high), P0171(bank 1 lean), P0101(MAF circuit). I replaced the MAF sensor(Audi part from ECS Tuning) and cleared the cel. After about 4 hours interstate driving, cel came on again. Codes this time were P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304(cylinder misfires). Replaced spark plugs(Autolite XP3923 iridium gapped at .030") and cleared the cel. After about 25 min in town driving, cel came on again. Codes were the same, P0300-P0304. I could not find any vacuum leaks using a smoke stick and by visual inspection. I replaced the 4 coil packs(Echlins similar/same as Audi type F from NAPA) and cleared the cel. Original coil packs were replaced under waranty(TSB) couple years ago. After about 25 min in town driving, cel came on again. Codes are P0507, P0171, P0300-P0304. With car warmed up, idle ~800 rpm, lambda ~1.4(higher than what it was during earlier troubleshooting for this problem), short term fuel trim ~25%, downstream O2 sensor output ~.02V. I am at my wits end as to what to do next. Help!

have you ever looked into your cam follower? If not i'd do some searching on it cuz there is a plethora of information on it, if you have never changed it, id change it for sure, not 100% if it will fix your problem but it may, and you should change it asap if you havent as preventative maintenance. Also imo, it sounds like you have a carbon buildup problem. Do you have any mods like chip, exhaust? How is your driving style, do you ever do some spirited driving? Do you drive mostly highway or city or half and half? How often do you go full throttle it and redline it?

how about a throttle body re-alignment/adaptation? It's easy, and free, and may solve your problem. You need VAGCOM though.

I'm not even going to begin reading this. Please repost when you have better sentence structure. Sorry.

I replaced the PCV and gasket based on an earlier post today. Dealer charged me $130.00 for these parts. What a ripoff!!! The problems seems to be fixed. Thanks to all who responded.

Glad your problem is solved cause this is not even readable. I got a headache just looking at it.
