P310B/012555 - Low Pressure Fuel regulation: Fuel Pressure Outside Specification
Possible Symptoms
MIL On
Reduced power
Possible Causes
Faulty Fuel Pressure Sensor (G410)
Wiring Harness for Fuel Pressure Sensor (G410)
Possible Solutions
Replace Fuel Pressure Sensor (G410)
Repair Damaged Wiring
Special Notes
When found on Direct Injection engines, may also have DTC 004767 (P129F). Can be caused by a faulty G410 sensor. See TSB 01-07-69 (TB 2016182) for more information on testing and updated part numbers.

it is located next to the pcv. once you buy it you'll be able to identify what you need to replace. good luck, though, I've done that for this very code and it came back.

Anyone have a solution to this P310B / 012555 error....as i've already replaced the trust sensor (HPFP sensor) and the druck sensor as well but the fault code still reappears ...

I've had this issue for quite some time as well. I replaced the thrust sensor twice and still no dice... Once I got a letter of warranty extension from the AoA where G410 Fuel Pressure Sensor was included I decided to pay the dealer a visit. Guess what!? They said the the pressure sensor was an updated one that I had put in and they suggested that it was the low pressure fuel pump and it was not warrantied, of course! $800 parts and labor! As part of the process they wanted to replace the fuel filter as well, which I had done so already myself... Anyway, I decided to bite the bullet and have them do the work...
The code had disappeared but the car now has a huge fuel leak as a direct result from, what I think, is the poor workmanship by the tech! 3 years I stayed away from dealers and had done all the work on the car myself and now this... Very frustrating but assuring that I should continue to avoid the dealer. End of the rant.
Now, it's been a short period of time to tell if this resolves the issue. I need to have the car towed to the dealer and have them remedy the fuel leak. I should be able to report back if the notorious P310B/012555 will return in a while.
There's no ill affect cause by driving the car with this code. It is just annoying, of course. In hindsight, I should have waited till the end of winter and done the work myself to save myself a lot of money. Lesson learned...

I had the same faultcode and changed the fuel pump in the tank and then faultcode disappeared.

Ordered fuel filter and high pressure fuel pump cam follower (since those are notorious to wear and fail). Hope that cures the 012555 code. Plus contacted local Audi dealer with VIN number to check on G410 fuel pressure sensor (extended warranty, recall, etc.)

I had that code in mine and it was the cam, follower, and fuel pump. Turns out they were also the cause of my rattle on start up. There is a warranty extension on those to 10 years/120,000 miles. I work at a dealer so I got a free cam, follower, and fuel pump and got paid to to put it in. Also if the follower is worn out they should drop the oil pan. I know it's a pain but if there's metal in the oil Audi will pay for a long block.

Mine is 2007 (7 years) but over 120k miles. Changing the high pressure fuel pump cam follower tomorrow, and fuel filter. In tank fuel pump was changed last year, not sure if they changed the filter.

Is your HPFP failing? If not, and there are no codes for the HPFP, then I wouldn't spend the money on one just yet. There are electrical checks you can do at the LPFP and the fuel module controller(s) to determine if there's an issue with one, none, or both of them. Hold off until Dru has a chance to help you out.
