short story - going just under the speed limit at about 35 mph, slight left bend ... and hit a patch of oil/diesel left from an accident that happened there a few days ago, imediattely lost control (worse than on ice) and managed to hit the EDGE of fcuking stone barrier... i didn't hit the side of it, like you would hit a guard rail, I hit the beggining of it, so it acted like an... AXE or something and completely destroyed the front right of my car, the car spun and climbed on the pavement (I don't know the english word for it) that separates the lanes.
I managed to cut my hand on something, don't know what... passenger broke his arm in two places and the passengers in the rear luckily just got a few bruises.
I litterally cannot believe my bad luck. I was told by the police I was the 10th person to lose control there in the few days but I was the only unlycky one to do that much damage. And NO - I cannot sue the state or the county for them not cleaning that section of the road.
The gearbox is stuck in D, won't go to P but will go down to S and tiptronic mode. I'll post photos ...if I find the heart to take them.
Broke the motor mounts..front right wheel is split in half like it was made of plastic, the tire is off it... It's a horror show.
I had an accident last summer, I was going way faster, like 80...lost control, hit the guard rail and did less damage to a hot hatchback.
here's a pic of the car in it's best days...

If the police told you that there had been 10 accidents and they did nothing to clean it up, how in the world do you have no right to sue for 1) your car's damage 2) injuries 3) blatantly ignored safety hazards...

From my time being on AZ, that's the worst accident I've heard. Sorry about your car, but you and your friends are still here, thats the important thing. Hope everything works out man, good luck.

suing the state is not a problem... winning the case is. I'm actually a law student. But this isn't the US. Laws are very different and this happens all the time. This is like one of those lawless almost third-world countries you see in the movies .. sad but true.
I will talk to someone about this but I'm not getting my hopes up./

depends from state to state but in CT if there is something wrong in the road oil slick or pot hole, and the state/town knows about the problem, it is thier lawful responsibility to put caution signs and clean up/fix whatever is wrong in the road
the way is works is if car A hits a pot hole and blows a tire, they call the town and say there is a pothole on route x. after that phone call, the town/state (depending if its a highway or road) is responsible for any damage that happens to any other cars that have been damaged by the same pothole
i hate it when cops give off the wrong advice, if there had been 10 notifications that something was unsafe in the road and nothing was done you have a great case of negligence...lawyer up and persue this matter and you'll most likely be having the state/town buy you a new car after damages are awarded

He is not from the States man. Many people do not understand how laws of these countries work until you have to deal with them. I am not how your insurance works over there. Put if you have your passengers file a claim against you+damages to your car, loss of work and a lot of that other stuff, then you can make out alright. Due to the Rd. conditions the insurance may not find you at fault.
I am glad that you and the passengers are alive, I know what it is like to lose someone in a car accident.
Best regards,
Sean.
