These are a get-out-of-a-jam tool. It would be safe to say you should be able to use these a few times a year for a few years. We beat the heck out of our test models and the material was still in good shape.

Are these a replacement for chains?

Are these a replacement for chains?

They sure are - without the tire/road damage commonly associated with conventional chains. I am of the belief they are also easier and safer to use.

The driver said he could not push any of the vehicles in the turns without the "chains" on, and it was night and day with them versus without. I do wish he had demonstrated the traction threshold of before and after.

Couple things. First off, we sold through much of our first batch of these, so we have a second big order of them on the way. Secondly, our video of these interesting product received over 5000 views in the first 72 hours! Thirdly, here's a "part two" ISSE video to hopefully sway any naysayers.

I know some AZ'ers purchased this product - I welcome your remarks, pictures and videos of them if and when you need to use 'em!!

Interesting. Now how do these abide to Highway Patrol inspections? I know here in California they crack down pretty good for those without chains. Will these pass inspection with no problem?

While these are not DOT approved, they are TUV certified. The TUV Rheinland provides certification on products such as these in Europe to make them street legal. Here's a link (http://www.nuderapez.ro/pdf/CHAINS%20-%20TUV.pdf) to the TUV certification.
