Beefier tire setup

I was wondering what size tire I could run to achieve a beefier looking setup kind of like the 350Z in the beefier tire thread in the B7 forum? Any help from the tirerack guys would be cool. Im currently running the stock split 5 spoke wheel, I think they are 17x7.5". Will a 245/50zr17 fit?

We've done 245/45R17 (XL) on the 17x7.5 wheel with no issues. The 245/50R17 may rub over big bumps, especially if lowered.
