That little? I was told that stock PSI is 17. I got a 2007 A4 2.0T with GIAC Software and APR Carbonio Intake and I'm at 25 spike and 21 hold. There are no other performance modifications on my car .

Stock peaked at 10 for me and held 8. There is no way you are peaking 25 psi unless your tuner is retarded or something is wrong. How soon do you want to replace your turbo?

Lol I asked this not to long ago. How are you peaking 25? Thats like saying you can walk on water

ya 25 psi is very high for a premapped tune from any company, peak 21-maybe 22 and hold 18-19 sounds average. I know I've never reached 25, i think i have a torn dv cuz im only peaking at 18 right now :(

i saw a stock DV for $60 in the box in the audizine classifieds .... I cracked my DV also after i chipped the car, i put a new stock DV and a Forged DV spacer and i havent had any problems yet....I have no idea how im running these numbers but i brought the car in to Tuning today and they said it was tuned down and thats normal psi for the 2.0T with GIAC Software ....

I really like it but I don't need it. I had a drop in boost and had the awe in thinking the stock DV went bad. Turned out that my stock DV is still good. So I just had the AWE one in for a few days and took it off. I'm still CPO and don't want to show aftermarket parts as much as possible. I have it up for sale for $100 shipped.

is there a difference in sound with the AWE DV?

Maybe a bit but I had it just for a bit I didn't even have time to drive it to much. So I could not tell for sure. As I said I just had it for couple days

Don't feel bad, a K03 is incapable of holding 25 psi, and if it does hit 25 psi it is way the hell outside of the efficiency range and is producing nothing but hot air. A K03 should be run around 20 with a taper down to 15 at redline (if it will hold it). A K04 can efficiently peak 25 and taper to 21 at redline easy, and will be pushing at least 10% more volume everywhere. Big diff is the top end is filled out.

In fact, I have hit 25 psi on my k03, and my stock hpfp can't handle it. You hit it for less than a second unless you are in 5th or 6th gear. And it snaps your neck at first, but doesn't necessarily feel faster than when I am running a peak of 21, except for the sub second initial burst.

Sent from my porcelain throne.

That 25Psi gets a jump on my car

The problem with overboosting is you fly out of the efficiency and you overcompensate coming back down; your car will also shot the N75 open to try and bring the boost under control and you go under the requested boost. Because of this, a steady 22 psi curve is faster than a 25 psi spike.

It does feel cool though! ;-) kinda like a mini nitro shot.

I hear ya on that. My car finally stopped throwing underboost codes. Weird though cause I was holding and spiking on boost where I needed to be. Replaced the dv, n75, and now that I have my fmic on the code does not come back

I hear ya. I am gonna have the k04 tune for pure efficiency through the whole range
