Nice. Did you have to disconnect the battery in order to remove the SW?
I have a new one being shipped to me soon.

no, it didnt disconnect the battery and didnt do the VAC thing.
btw i had someone else installed for me. paid $120, finished in 30minutes.
are you getting the same one or similiar? there is one on ebay, S-Line, selling for $550 from like luthania or something not including shipping.

Hey - did you end up sourcing a 3-spoke airbag? I remember you posted up a thread about it in the past. If so, how much did it run you?

yes i did, got it for 250 shipped. only the airbag itself no wires or harness, my original SW have multi function and paddle shifters so i just use the original wires and harness. the airbag its from a S4 SW without paddle shifter but have multi function, it fited perfectly.
you really have to look around and be patient. i think there are one still for sale i am not sure you have to ask the seller. he wants 350 for the airbag.
if you cant wait to find a good deal on the 3 spoke airbag here is what you can do. go on ebay buy the 3 spoke airbag cover, $80 plus shipping. take the gust out of your existing 4 spoke airbag and put it into the 3 spoke airbag cover you get on ebay. supposely this procedure is very difficult, hard to take the gust out of your 4 spoke SW. if you dont do it carefully the airbag might explode so.....i wont really recommand.

Thanks for the update man. Just so happens that the guy in Germany I bought the SW from also had a brand new airbag to sell me.
$260, not too bad of a price I guess.
So have you install yours yet?
