I have 2 CELs: "Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Too Low" that has come on about once every few weeks, if cleared. Just about a month ago, I got my second: "Oxygen Sensor Voltage Too High" and my gas mileage has been like 17mpg ever since. How do I tell if my O2 sensors are bad, or if my catalytic converter is bad? I really don't want to take it to the stealership, considering the horror stories I've heard, plus the price gouging. I just gotta find a reputable shop up 'round here.

Is there any way you can post the exact code? Was it "voltage too high" or "resistance too high"? Knowing if it was the pre or post cat 02 sensor can tell you if it is the 02 that is bad or the cat is bad.

cant you check the voltage of the sensors on measuring blocks at WOT??

I don't remember the exact codes, but it was Voltage Too High.

Yes but it might not tell you if they are really bad or not. Looking at block 032 will give you some idea which is the fuel trim for idle/part throttle and the ecu uses the 02 sensor to make fuel adjustments.
