Also how hard is it to install rsne the guy im bought my car from said it wasnt wired for navi so am my up shts creek Thanks for the help.

Go back to school...take a spelling and gammar class again, re-take your permit test, then your driving test, wait 6 months and then buy a fully loaded almost new 2005 prius.

Uneducated and the young.
I liked it better when the a4 was strictly a girls car. Idiots.
To the OP...yep- its 4,000,000.00 for the memory seats- the install is a breeze. And if you buy the 'rsne' before new years, you can get it cheap for 12.99, the wires are an extra 1,000 sincr your not wired....and your odometer lights are red?!? Holy santa claus shit- maybe you shouldnt buy this one, i heard th a4's with the red needles contain high counts of radio activity- be careful bra.
As for the miles...theyre manually recorded under the hood, by the intake manifold by a miniature elf....the early model b7( the chassis number of the car in question) came standard with a stenographer in the trunk too....be carefull what you say!
Hope this helps, sorry for bashing earlier and good luck!! Welcome to the Audi community!!!

OP, don't mind the vets. They get all hopped up on mtn dew and go apeshit on everybody here.
OK, so here goes: Anything over 75k and you're on borrowed time for the timing belt. get it done shortly after purchase. cost is $750-1000 for a dealership or indy shop, or about $250 and 5 hours for a good garage mechanic with all the tools.
Mileage is stored on multiple ROMs, including the ECU and the Dash computer, the board computer, and the TCU. Probably others too.
RNSE is an easy install. Just get the h/u and the appropriate software and plug and play basically. You will probably need to do an antenna of some sort for the satnav. Again cost is the big thing, used RNSE goes for 500ish, then making it work right will cost you another 100-250 or so.
The red display is normal. the s4 has full color IIRC, the B6/B7 A4 is just red. You're ok there.
The memory seats is fairly easy to install. Just some wires/panel and VAGCOM to turn it on. It will cost you a couple hundred all said and done(including buying vagcom)
Other things to look at are the rear diff and axles for leaks(every rwd/awd car should be checked for this), coolant/oil leaks under the hood and under the engine. BRAKES! just hire a good mech or ask a local to help you out and look over the car. check the regional forums for more help on that.

At work I stress out because of all the bull$hit that goes on, especially when you have a young new director that thinks he is mister know it all.. Short story, FML lately since my boss started.. But also, for the past couple weeks I have been lurking around reading all the comments/responses from everyone.. Each time I read a response from all of you who bashed some guy (Vet or Not) that gave a stupid answer I just break down and laugh at loud..Christ sake's, My office is right next to HR and any day now I'm gonna get a nasty email from her that all I'm doin is screwing around.. (well I am but besides the point)... You guys make my job that much more interesting despite the BS I go thru at work.. I swear, I got caught already with tears in my eyes and I made up some BS that I broke up with my girlfriend...ahaha!! Anyways, keep up with the bashing, make me proud!! I almost want to ask a stupid question just so I can finish this day crying my a$$ off..

Now come on.. Anybody can make mistakes. I've met American people that were asking me how to spell LOL (not that I'm good at it - I'm not American either). I wish I would see some of you guys going to some countries in europe and try to speak their language (not even talking about spelling). The guy is just asking some help the way he knows.
For OP: the first thing I would check would be the cam follower as it can cause big damage. I had mine changed not too long ago by the dealer. They had to change both cams, hpfp and the cam follower and I didn't even know I had a problem, the car was running fine. I only saw it when I took the cam follower out for a check. see details here
