I am in the process of installing the 3m Carbon Wrap into my 2007 A4. I have removed all the trim pieces except the two on the dashboard. I cant figure out how to remove the small one by the headlight switch and the one that runs across the whole dash. Any help would be great guys. Thanks.

that guide does not mention the screws (or didnt read enough) that are on the passenger side....Open the side piece and there is one screw holding the trim on that side.
i should get my new trim soon, I will post up a detailed DIY.

I like the carbon for the interior but I think that the 3M di-noc has a textured and not glossy effect like the real carbon. How can this be achieved?any ideas?

actually it is not. I tried that and gave up and figure it out myself.
If you still need help let me know as I did this not to long ago but I would have painted the trim, or saved up for real carbon fiber. In the end, I do not like the outcome.

thanx for all the info. It was some what similar to the B6 platform. I loved the way it turned out. It was fairly easy. As long as you worked the wrap with heat it was a piece of cake. Got all the pieces of trim done in 5 hours. Thats with removal, prep, installing the wrap, and then pieces back into car. I will get some pics up tomorrow. I think it looks amazing. thanks again.

dam no pics???
I used the 3m dinoc carbon wrap and totally love it. It is one of the best bang for your buck visual mods you can do to the interior IMO!

I did this on my shifter area. Check out my thread here:

I'll probably do the rest of the trim sometime, so I'm in favor of a b7 trim DIY.
Also, it is mentioned in that thread that you can clear coat it for a glossy effect but it's not recommended.

He only shows 3 screws for the piece by the headlight switch. There are actually 4. The fourth one is right here.
