I was just looking at them and I am 90% sure they plug and play but it appears that they use 4ohm speakers vs 2 ohm. This could be an awesome thing if I was doing all of my speakers but I just wanted some feedback.

i know Concert 2 uses CAN-BUS interface, B5 dont have; yeah plug and play but no illumination, no auto ON/OFF with key out or in, GALA wont work....stuff liek that. Even heard rear speakers wont work and if you have Bose speakers you have to program player from VAG-COM for them.
I have this schematic to make the concert 2 illumination to work on B5 cars.

If I wasn't OEM in-dash 6 disc swapped, hell double din swapped period, I was going to buy one for my car. You can't beat the factory look and feel of it.

Dumber... I went aftermarket. A big part of me wishes i would've kept the OEM unit in there.

Agreed.

weaselciuy is correct in what he is saying. I've also thought about this but I ended up getting a good deal on a PhatBox instead.

Where'd you manage to find an Audi Phatbox? I've been searching for one with no luck at all.

Got mine on ebay. They pop up every once in a while.

Fair enough. I'll probably just have to deal with using my tape/cable thing. Sounds fine, looks crappy. heh
