Just thought I would post up my latest addition to my family.

Its a 2005 A4 S-Line 3.2 Quattro with 38,000 miles, that has been fully converted to an RS4 widebody :) And resprayed Ibis white.

I might turn this thread into a little bit of a build thread, but nothing really power wise (can't do much with this engine), mainly cosmetics.

At the moment I have planned...
Euro RS4 Bucket seats
Tint
Powdercoat wheels
Respray calipers
De-cat
Custom Code tune
K&N Panel Filter

Anyway, I'll let the pictures do the talking, and don't worry, all the RS4 badges are coming off as soon as the weather warms up a little...

x2 on the spacers. It looks great.. it's just unfortunate that it doesn't
have the aggressive power or tone to back up its aggressive looks!

looks OEM+, would never guess it's an A4 by looking at it. I love the fact that it's right-hand drive as well!

Thanks for all the comments guys.

It is as near to perfect as you could hope. The only thing missing is the little splitter in the front bumper, but I can add that when the weathers better.

The paintwork is fantastic! It was only sprayed a little over a month ago and looks amazing. I can't wait till next year to give it a really good detail and cover it in wax.

And yes, definately needs spacers, just going to have to work out how much I can get away with. I want to be very flush, or even a little poke with some stretched tyres for the summer. Come next year, I'm going to get the wheels redone gunmetal grey and add the spacers, should look fantastic!

Great job done on the conversion but I think the RS4 badges are super lame considering it's not one.

sharp. how does it sound

ChrisFurlong

Hehe, if I could afford to turbo it I would. Maybe in the future I will. But the cars definately not slow, don't know why people say they are. With 250hp it's plenty fast enough, and I don't track it so o don't really see the point in going for more power. I am going to get it remapped by custom code, so hopefully will be close to 300hp than 250hp, but mainly more for the driveability of the remap.

But I think if I could get 300hp I would be very happy

I agree with the badges, I don't like them. They are coming off, just as soon as the weathers a bit better. The only issue I have is once I take off the side badges, I'm going to be left with a hole.

Anyone have any ideas on a badge I could get to replace them?

u should turbo it out and make some serious power with that 3.2 just an idea. loooks fantastic..

ChrisFurlong

It sounds great, really nice and deep, deeper than my A6 3.2 with stock exhaust. Its not overly loud, just a nice rumble. I will hopefully get a test pipe next year, to free up a bit of power and for the sound.

As for turboing it, the turbo kits available for the 3.2's are all for the A3/TT setup, not for the A4. Unless I've missed something.

Has anyone here turbo'd their 3.2? That thing would be fast!

If you read the post's above, you would see I am going to take the badges off, its just too cold to work on the car at the moment. I do not want people to think it's an RS4. The badges on the front and back I will remove ASAP, the side badges I need to find something to replace them with, as there will be a gap otherwise. The badge on the cluster will have to stay as I'm not going to replace the cluster. The steering wheel I am going to replace with an RS6 paddle wheel (yes its an auto, I like autos) and just have a plain black badge at the bottom. The side sills have RS4 on. I'm not too fussed about replacing them, but if I can get a set of B7 silver inlay ones, or maybe some carbon ones I will.

I've only had the car a little over a week, and its been snowing constantly since. Today is the first day I've had to really look at the car, without snow. Over the next coming weeks/months all the little things will change.

To bad it is a automatic tho. Whoever looks into the car they will know right off that isn't really an RS4. Nicely done tho.

Well, I like autos, so nice on long journeys or when stuck in traffic. And I'm not trying to fool anyone into thinking its an RS. If I was, I would have gotten a manual.

Anyway, manuals are fun, but for 99% of the time when I drive, I'm driving to/from work and I'm driving sensibly. If I was going to track a car, I would have gone for a manual, but for everyday use, auto is fine, and with paddle shift is great fun.

Couldn't agree more. Badges off! Sides that, it looks incredible...great work.

Get a couple chrome quattro badges off eBay and throw them on the doors. Like this one: Clickity (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Car-Chrome-Badge-Emblem-Sticker-3D-AUDI-Quatto-CHROME-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem35ae5953bdQQitemZ23055 8356413QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccesso ries)

Looks fantastic man. Congrats.

If it's an S-line, and if they're big enough, why not go with s-line badges?

Thanks naiku, nice to know some people actually read the post and not just look at the pictures.

Regarding the cost, I'm not sure, as I bought the car this way. But the guy I got it from said he spent 10,000 on it! And I believe him, the paint job is amazing!

I think you should go all the way and drop in the V8 from the RS4, or supercharge the 3.2
