i have a 1998 a4 1.8t quattro and it has been missing and stalling and slow with bad gas milage.....................i put a remus exhaust and a hks intake .........when they put the xhaust on the car was running good and fast after a couple of days it slowed down and started having those problems i asked a shop and they said air flow meter sensor so i just changed that today but i still loss a lot of power ..................... when the exhaust was put on do you think i am missing something or am i supposed to get something else after that ................. i wanted to get my car chipped soon but i wanted to get it how it was before but maybe the turbo is going the car has 146000 ???? can someone help?

We either need a lot more information, or you need a shop/VAG-Com

Do you have a CEL? Are you in limp mode? Do you have the updated coil packs? Have you tested the ICM?

Etc....

Did you ever let the throttle body adapt...Don't think it would be THAT bad, but you could try that, and see if it helps.

i got a new a trans ecu it was in limp mode but not anymore ................... i never did anything with coil packs .............. can you inform me? ............as for throttle body apadting i dont understand i just cleared the codes and drove it for a little got mad and just put it away i just changed the sensor about 2 hours ago should i drive the car more.???? thanks alotttt

get yourself to a dealer or an audi specialist independant shop. you have no idea what you're doing and neither does the shop you're currently using. throwing parts at a problem isn't the right way to fix it

test the ICM... probably the culprit

Does the car still have the stock cat on it? If the cat gets plugged the car will be lose power. Was there any DTC's with the vag?
