I've never removed one from an Audi but it is common for them to really clamp down at times. A trick that may help is to rotate the pressure around the relay as you are pulling so you gently rock it from corner to corner to corner as you pull. I have had some that moved a higher amount of current and these had to be pried from the bottom with a screw driver or like device to get them out.

You mean the unit that turns on your hazards? Remove the black piece of trim above the radio, and pry the relay out with a screwdriver. I had to replace it because my turn signals would either not work or go nuts when turned on lol.

Lol like i said before, pry it out with a flathead. DOnt be afraid to use some force. And no, you cant clean it out. If its not working corectly its never going to again. They're cheap anyways.

I cleaned mine a few times. It's a good way to buy time for shipping, but far from a permanent solution. It lasted about two weeks. As far as getting it out, it's no fun. Look at a picture of the part before you try. It's got some weird tabs to hold it in.

I just replaced mine, get a precision flathead, like an eyeglass kit size. Stick it in on the sides in the middle, there are 2 little clips that hold it in. You will only be able to fit it in on one side at a time, so go back and forth and try to keep pulling while you fuss with the screw driver. And if that doesn't work just pull on it and break it like I did. I didn't have the patience either.

Here is the one I ordered. I don't know what ECS Tuning costs or the difference. Mine works fine though.

When I finally got it out for the temp fix, I took the clips off so it just slid in and out.
