Because the price of oil is up from the mid $70s to $85.

Why is oil going up in price? Many reasons: strong dollar, stronger US and worldwide economy, etc.

its the time of year the refineries change fuel blends and gear up for larger volumes of fuel oil to be produced... so since less gasoline is being produced, cost goes up accordingly.
