Those with back up sensors on C6 A6 cars, just got help on ability to add parktronic graphic via vagcom. Hope this helps others, as it is a nice easy feature to add.

Open Module [76] - Parking Aid

Short Coding:
0?xxxxx: Optical Illustration
0 = without Optical Illustration in Display
2 = with Optical Illustration in Display

Save changes, then enable Graphic display in MMI under the Parking menu. (Click yes when prompted for default work group coding from VCDS)

My oem coding went from 0001206 to 0201206

It only works on certain modules

4F0 919 283 - won't work on all revisions
4F0 919 283 A - won't work on all revisions
4F0 919 283 B - can be enabled using VAGCOM
4F0 919 283 C - can be enabled using VAGCOM
4F0 919 283 D - can be enabled using VAGCOM
4F0 919 283 F - enabled from the factory
4F0 919 283 H - enabled from the factory

It's likely you have one of the first modules that did not support the graphic display.

You would actually need a different module, not sure if you can find them on eBay but there are tons of them an Allegro for example. Allegro is essentially a Polish eBay. Prices are around $70-$80 given today's exchange rates. Have a look at this link: http://allegro.pl/listing.php/search?sg=0&string=4F0+919+283

Here is additional info on the modules:

4F0 910 283 - 4 sensors, no graphical support
4F0 910 283 A - 4 sensors, no graphical support
4F0 910 283 B - 4 sensors, graphical suppor
4F0 910 283 C - 8 sensors, graphical support
4F0 910 283 D - 4 sensors, graphical support
4F0 910 283 E - 8 sensors, graphical support, rear view camera support
4F0 910 283 F - 4 sensors, graphical support, rear view camera support
4F0 910 283 G - 8 sensors, graphical support, rear view camera support
4F0 910 283 H - 8 sensors, graphical support, rear view camera support

found one in PA for $100 .. does this unit operate only Parktronic? or other vehicle functions aswell? is it plug n play? will i have to reprogram things with VCDS if yes how much reprogramming will be involved?

i know that a pretty involved techy question. hopefully someone can help

The module controls only Parktronic, and it's plug n play. Once you get the right module in, just follow the coding instructions in the thread and you'll be golden.

we have been throwing the word "module" a few times. using VCDS i found my "module type"... if i remember VCDS menu structure correctly

Select
electronics 1
76-park assist

but the physical unit is in the trunk on the tools side. i unhooked the liner from the silver clip then gently pulled back the liner a few inches just for a better view ... there it was hanging label side down and u can see the clip that releases module from its base .... i had a thick red wire in the way

this is old pic but its only inches from the big arrow
small arrow is red wire

The module is located in the trunk, very easy to get to. It's labeled with 1 on the picture below.
