I've done some searching for what I thought was a limp mode issue but it looks like what I'm experiencing is a "closed loop" mode. Basically, when I get on it, my car falls flat on its face sometimes. You can depress the accelerator fully and the revs will still build very slowly or not even rise at all. When I let off, it takes a few seconds and then the power comes back. There are no lights. I've done alot of searching and I'm stumped. I even took my car to the dealer and they haven't been able to find anything. The only mods are Carbonio intake, Forge BOV spacer. It has an upgraded metal piston DV and the revised PCV as well as the updated coilpacks. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading

i believe this is a symptom of the cam follower issue. why do you call it "closed loop"? that makes me think youve got a code but you say there arent any?

I'm just going by what I've found online. Most people seem to say that limp mode pertains strictly to transmission issues? Not sure. Anyhow, I'll replace the old cam follower and see if that does it. Thanks

I've experienced the same thing. Hopefully when I replace my cam follower it will go away.

if the follower (or lack thereof) has been compromised you'll want to replace more than just the follower(especially if the camlobe is scored). It will probably require a new FP and cam and follower. Good luck to all on this one.
