I installed them last weekend and now my car runs a tad wierd. Anytime I rev up the car and let off, the RPM's dip down to 400 and back up to 1000 for around 10 seconds then settle back to normal. The Forge DV, I can't tell if it's on backwards or not but also don't know if this would have that effect. The DV also has the yellow spring (15-23PSI) instead of the green one (5-15PSI) installed for the chip I plan to put in soon. I don't know if this would have that effect either.

And to eliminate the need for a separate post, what're everyone's thought on the swiss cheese box mod for the air box to make things louder without going the route of the dreaded cone filter? As always the help is greatly appreciated from you guys[az]

Also while I'm at it, anyone know a garage or someone near the PA/NY border that will solder in the chip? Thanks again

also search the COAM – Colorado outlaw air box mod, that should be close to what’s it’s called haha. You might get some more noise of it this mod but you'll def be getting more cold air to your airbox.

you can also try to put the green spring back in to see if that changs anything, im not sure if it will though but its easy to find out.

give edge motors a call, they might be able to solder the chip in for you

Is there any way besides the different fender lining to protect my car from snow, puddles, etc.?

well the ones ive seen are attached to the lower grill. people would make a hole in the bottom portion of the airbox and run a hose/tube down to the lower grill. You are still keeping your stock airbox & all the plumping. There might be some sucking coming from this hose but its not the amt of sucking power haha ;-) that a true CAI would have on another car, where you would be concerned about sucking water in etc.

here are some actual numbers for the COAM
