does anyone know how to wire the city lights, but have them turn off when the low beams are on? I am also a novice when it comes to wiring. thanks for any of the help.

you need a euro headlight relay. audimods has done it before. Although most owners just run them on with the low beams.

you have to wire them to the parking lights, not the low beams

Most easily to do that just wire a relay from in each headlight. Wire up the low beam + to relay86 and - to 85. 30 from parking light if that's what you're using to turn on. and 87a to the city light. Just leave 87 open...

Contact 'Audimods'...he sold me the relay and it is easy to do and works great. The city lights now only come one with the parking lights and go off when I go to low beams.

You should also try an LED upgraded city light bulb, not as bright as a halogen bulb, but has a bluish white color like xenon.

[rs4] where might one get this relay? part number? Dealership? Auto parts store?

anywhere really, just make sure you get one that will work. An SPST normally-closed relay would work nicely, but you could also use SPDT change over relay as they are more common at stereo and alarm installing places... I described hooking up the SPDT relay btw.
