I was going to buy a new SUV this year, but I put on to many miles for work and I'll get killed on selling the Audi. Plus, I love this car! Just spent $2K to have the valves, gaskets, time belt service, and engine mounts done. Should run for another 100K after that.

So here is my idea for modes: (99.5 A4 2.8QM)

RS4 Wheels - 18"

Where is the best place to buy these from? Want to have them come with the tires already mounted - so what is a good tire selection? I live in TX, so no worries about snow.

Suspension & Sway Bar

I'm still stock and ready to go off roading. I want to go low, but not low enough to loose any performance.

New Radio & Sub

Should I get a Symphony to keep the Audi look or is there something out there that is that much better?

Let the modding begin!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can do the wheels and sway bars for ya. As for audio, if you have the stock bose system, I would keep that. I put in a Alpine cd player in my car and regret not just putting a cd changer in instead.

I thought about the PES SC, but I might limit my Audi spending to $3K. The car will be paid off in one year, so maybe I'll add the SC then. Plus, I've already been fairly stupid with speeding - I'll take the handling and looks instead.

What is good choice for rubber?

Thinking about going with 18"s. I don't want to bother with rolling fenders or will rub. I still need my car to be very functional at the end of the day.

Did some research and the Yokohama tires had some very poor reviews. Thinking about going with Michelin Pilot PS2s.

i have yokohama es100's on my accord rims. it does have road noise but it's decent for handling corners and whatnot. i would recommend them only if you have a budget.

So here is what I think that I am going with:

H&R Race Springs w/ grooved Bilsten shocks
18" RS4 Reps
Michelin PS2s
Nuespeed rear sway bar
Symphony Radio
Short shifter
Clear corner bulbs

That should keep me happy for awhile................

nice list of mods. i think you should pass on the symphony radio though, either get an aftermarket deck or get an ipod and do a hardwire in your car. i have an ipod and it's hooked up to my concert radio, sounds great and i have 1000 songs on tap to listen too (i have a 4 gig ipod mini).

Good call on the symphony. Once I understood everything that I had to buy to make it fit I said screw it. I have one speaker that needs replacement, but other then that the concert radio is still good to go. I'll probably do the ipod and put a sub in the back. Should be happy with that.

Anyone know if the Michelin PS2s will fit the RS4 reps? I believe that the PS2s will be a 235/40/18.

Simple.. APC cone filter from Autozone..

haha, just playin. If i had 5,000 I know i would buy a Rieger kit for my car becuase i want to go for the look. Either that or new turbo either a K04 or T28. Maybe some 18" Rs4 reps, a short shifter... or wait, a computer in your glove box, that would be hot.

Sorry, i know this is a stupied post and probably didnt help you decide what to do.

235's will fit, you might have to roll your fenders if you are really low with your new suspension. it only takes a baseball bat and a heatgun/hair dryer to roll them.

A hair dryer will not heat the fenders enough to allow you to roll them properly. Please, think about it. [confused]

H&R Race springs with grooved bilstein shocks. This is a good setup, right?
