Ok so I'm working out a deal with this guy to trade rims but we can't do it local since I'm in NY and hes in Florida. How can I make sure I don't send mine out and get scammed with nothing in return?

I did something similar to this a few weeks ago. My suggestion is to have them ship and send you the tracking info. Once you know that they are on the way, ship their wheels.

It's still something you need to worry about, but if you have had good communication with this person in the discussion and have some trust, I would have some sense of security.

PS: Check if they have any buyer/seller feedback.

keep documentation of any emails, phone calls etc. reguarding your deal as well.

i was in this situation a while back, and these documents saved my ass. contact local authorities (in his area) if any problems arise.

I found them on vortex and he's only been a member for a few months so no feedback. He's gave me his number to call him personally so it seems legit so far

just so you know, i did this exact same thing with a vortex user 6 months ago. Sent my wheels out, never got shit in return and he wont answer my emails / calls now

and i cant do jack shit about that, authorities don't care at all.

be careful.

I'd suggest having him turn over the wheels to an AZ member in his area that you trust. But follow your gut. If he seems shady then listen to your head. If it seems legit then go for it. You never can tell. I'm on Fourtitude and a couple other forums but I hardly post there so I wouldn't have much feedback either. But I'm on here all the time. See if he posts on another forum and check feedback there.
