So I have the 06 a6 with 6disck changer, Bose System, (see sig for rest of details)

Question: Does our system not play MP3 Format CDs?
I can't afford $500 for the off brand Ipod adapter. So I was just wondering.

Thanks!

Wouldn't it have been better to actually help the guy? :/

The regular CD changer doesn't support MP3 CD's, but you can buy an OEM MP3 CD changer that will. Not sure how much it is, and TBH, I would put the money towards the AMI instead.

I love douche bags like torderr who ry to be a hard ass and smart ass responses like the one torderr gives to the guy who created this thread.
Hey torderr GO FUCK YOURSELF. and that goes for everyone else who things they are to good to help someone out who has a questions. In case you havent noticed. This is a FORUM where you help people that have a question about a common theme. Im not saying that all questions are valid or even this question but you dont have to be an asshole.

For this guy who is asking the question. Id recommend you just save your cash and buy an in dash navi system. Its navigation as well as plays mp3 cds and prob has a jack for your ipod. I also recommned you search the site and google before you post a quesiton. There are alot of assholes but there are also alot of good guys who will help you but dont let one prick discourage you from the site.

hmm.. what are you? 16 years old? :)
And your answer is good.. But you wouldn't have to answer the question if this guy just burned a MP3 CD and tried to play it in the CD-changer.. Would also save him alot of time.. :)

First off mp3s quality is crap. I know the mmi does not play mp3 format. I burn 12-18 songs on regular audio cd format using lossless files(900-1300 bitrate) and use text encoding in itunes. All the song titles show, I can still fit 15 avg. and the quality kills mp3.
