The only thing a intake does on our cars is make the turbo sound better. Other than that, there is no gains from it. If your looking for performance just drop a K&N in and call it a day. If you want a louder whoosh then go with a Carbonio.

be careful with a drop in and make sure you have a cover for it like the carbonio's come with. my bro got an audi b7 come in with a flooded engine at his shop because the kid dropped in a k&n with no cover. it can happen im not going to say it will but if you have the bad luck to get enough water sucked in it could fcuk up your engine. shit after i heard that i bought myself a carbonio just to be on the safe side. but everyone has their own opinion im just stated a fact that happened to a person's car.

It's too bad, I missed the last intake run by a matter of weeks. I just went with a K&N panel filter.

k&n drop in is the best for sound. just get a heat shield, i used a tin or a moldable metal of some sort and mold it in between the turbo and the intake to prevent heat soak. or just get a fmic and thatll work even better. but the dropin makes the turbo and dv 10xs louder and id imagine its louder than the carbonio but i have no proof to back that up

I am your proof.

Carbonio is louder because your pulling more air from a bigger space, compared to the stock air box.

Get a drop in or cone filter and make your own heat shield. If you're spending more than $50 and you think you are getting more "performance", your throwing your money away.

Except you aren't really pulling MORE air are you, cause if you were, you'd be making more power.

I have an EVOMS. I like it. I noticed a little more throttle response, but definitely not more power.
