View Full Version : Air coming from door
I don't know if this is normal, but I've have a significant amount of air coming out of my door, like from my window switches. Even from the passenger door.
I dont care as much now since the air is "hot" but its gonna be another thing this winter lol

Hmm. That's odd. Done any kind of work on the door panels lately? Regulator, motor replacement?
Well not me, maybe the dealer/owner before me. Only had the car for 3 weeks now..

is your sun roof open, or tilted? I've noticed a draft through my door when my sunroof was open/tilted at highway speeds, happened on both my last 2 B7's
Yeah sunroof was tilted and yes it was the highway but still its weird..
Guess I'll have to check the door panel [mad]

I have had this happen on numerous cars, it happens on my A4, happens on my F150, and happened on a Maxima that I had. I don't think it is anything to worry about, probably just a vent to allow some outside air into the car.

If i want air ill open the window [:D]
Ill try with the sunroof closed just for fun.
Well its just that went its gonna be -40, i dont want to have to wear a glove when my hand in on the arm rest lol
Well I guess it's because of the sunroof! No air coming out when the sunroof is closed!

there could be a vent there. This may piss you off more, if you look under the passenger armrest on the door there is a small circular hole and ive felt air coming in through there as well. as stated i doubt this is anything to worry about.

I have the same problem too, and was wondering if there is supposed to be an OEM plastic plug for that screw hole??

Had this happen to me as well... my theory is that air is getting trapped between the trim and the body through the sunroof opening, and exiting whereever it can.
Guess it's common, so not so big of a deal
