I had 3000K HIDs on a B6 I used to own.The light output was great, but they didn't have that deep yellow look. What would you guys recommend????

I have the ziza, they are cheap and I have had them for 2 years with no issues. I vote for ziza. I have some Hoens as well, they are ok>

Thanks guys for the input on the DDM. I've read some threads on them and they say u dont need that code eliminator or the HID harness. Is this true??
I'd like the people using the Ziza/Hoen option to chime in.

anyone else care to share their experiences with comparing yellow non HID h11 bulbs? i have ziza and am looking for something more yellow without going HID. all of the photographs are so deceiving since everyone uses different white balance. so far i have looked into nokya, hoen, and piaa, but there does not seem to be a consensus on which bulb has the most intense yellow color.

I currently have ddm tuning hid 6000k fogs. due to recent water/flooding issues, i blew one of my fogs. I may be looking to just going to hoen "endurance" 3000k yellow fogs - I hear nothing but good things about them.

I haven't done anything with my fogs, but have a couple DDM HID kits laying around, so I'll probably use one of them. I have them in my F250 currently, and in 3 other vehicles I owned previously - no complaints whatsoever from me on DDM products.
Has anyone polished the lenses of their fogs? Mine seem to have taken a serious beating from road-crap and are in dire need of a polishing. Most likely any good polishing kit and some elbow grease will do the trick, but I still like to ask and ask for the community's experience.

I have the Hoen endurance yellow bulbs for 5 years and they are still going strong.

HIDs in fog housings = blinding oncoming traffic. Don't be a dick, get proper bulbs.

the hoen endurance bulbs hold such a great reputation pretty much on every forum. no doubt they will hold up, but how yellow are they compared to the piaas the zizas and the nokyas???

what do you mean exactly? putting HID kits, such as ddm hid h11 bulb fog kits, those are "blinding" to oncoming traffic?

x2 - wondering the same thing... the glass of my fog housings are ugly ugly. not sure really how to open it up and clean the inside parts thoroughly though. or if anyone has just replaced them cheaply?

Yes, exactly. Halogen housings, whether they are headlights or foglights scatter the light from HID bulbs and produce a ton of glare for oncoming traffic. I'm sure you've seen riced out civics or lifted bro trucks with bright ass HID headlights shining right in your eyes - it's the same thing in your fog housings. Maybe not as drastic, but still pretty bad

here is an image from the hoen website of the same bulb installed in an evo. the hue is different compared to the image that you show.
http://www.hoen-usa.com/2010cust/mini.jpg
then, on the hoen home page, they show the same bulb installed on a mini. this image has a similar hue to the image that you show. i personally prefer the yellow that you are showing over the yellow in the evo. my ziza lights are more comparable to what is shown on the evo (more of a washed out yellow).
the color difference between photos of the same bulb has made shopping for yellow bulbs pretty difficult. it seems that in each photo, the yellow color depends more on what white balance was used to take the photo rather than the bulb itself.
in any case, i may just have to buy the hoens and compare in person.

They are not super yellow and I wish they were more yellow. If they burn out I would think about the PIAAs or the Noykas, I have the Noykas as high beams and PIAAs as city lights.

good luck... lol. I attempted to laminx my tails, and it was a nightmare, had to remove within a week or so. terribly difficult to work with/install.

My previous avant had laminx on the headlights, taillights, and foglights. It's not the easiest thing to install, but not the most difficult either. Take your time and go sloooow is the best advice I have.

true. after driving with my 6000k fogs in really bad and heavy fog, I realized that running with 6000k fogs (bright white color) that are not functional as actual fog lights has made me a tool, haha. I will get 3000k yellow bulbs soon too.

I just replaced my ziza yellow bulbs with PIAA and WOW what a difference. the PIAA bulbs make the zizas look like a regular white bulb. in addition, the amount of usable light is greatly increased. some of the difference may be due to the fact that i ran the zizas for about 6 months, but whatever. there is also no blue hue from any angle of the piaas as some have suggested.
also, after researching more, i found this for anyone who is interested:

OP if you want your fogs to function as fogs, get the hoen H11. If you want your fogs to be a "cool HID status symbol" get 3300 HID's. HID light is horrible for cutting through fog regardless of the kelvin scale. Hence the need for fog lights.
