not sure if ICM is the same as "idle speed control" but its all i could find. so i figured i'd give my $.02 in case on the off chance i'm helpful to someone

edit: ^^^Link fail, just look for 2000 A6, "idle speed control" see if that makes sense

if this is what they call an ICM, then the 4.2 is specific to the 4.2
i'm kind of thinking that even if this is the wrong part, that the 4.2 parts are specific to the 4.2 regardless

^ thanks VInny, I did a bit of research last night as well.. I could only find an Ignition control module for a 2.7t.. So I agree with you, they must be different.
