A revolution in ignition technology!!
The Plasma Direct is the ignition coil with a high power amplifier built in to it.
The Plasma Directs produce 4 times more spark energy than stock coils and also generate an ultra fast multi spark discharge of 10 sparks up to highest RPM.
The spark amperage is increased 100%, allowing the spark to reach many more molecules and therefore accelerate the ignition and combustion process. This is extremely important in forced induction applications but also improves the performance of normally aspirated engines.

The Plasma Direct will increase horsepower and torque throughout the entire rpm range. This upgrade will also reduce fuel consumption. Even the engines with a legendary smoothness will be further refined with the Plasma Direct upgrade. Our Plasma Directs are OBD II compliant.

I have gotten a lot of PMs and emails about the product ever since the dyno threads were posted up. These coilpacks are not cheap and people have asked if I would do a group buy on them so here it is.

So the deal is this... I'm having a reverse discount group buy with NO minimum number of people to qualify.

If you purchase between Aug 21-Aug24 you get 20% off
If you purchaee between Aug 25-Aug28 you get 15% off
If you purchase between Aug 29-Sept 1 you get 10% off

You can get their retail pricing here: http://www.okadaprojects.com/usa/applications_files/Applications.pdf

The only conditions are as follows:

wow $775 for coil packs, the gain is nice, but for the money you could get a very very nice water meth injection kit

not performance wise but i guess building one with gold would be cheaper? [:D]

It is $588 if you buy with the 20% discount.

Meth injection solves a different issue, couple a meth kit with these coilpacks and you will get good results.

There is a 1 year warranty on them and here is a post from in my dyno thread about their longevity

Ulf at Ignition Solutions offered me a set of similar packs about 5 years ago and I've been running them since. I haven't had any real problems or failures with them. Although the car has never been on a dyno I do get very good gas mileage (30-38 hwy K04 1.8t) and they have survived over 100k miles of use and over 10k miles of on track abuse. My favorite combo is with e3 plugs (e3.64 I think). Ignition Solutions disappeared right around the time Okada surfaced so I wonder if they may be the same packs through some sort of company merger or whatnot. Either way, I've tried to kill them with no success so I wouldn't worry too much about longevity.

Ahh, okay. Luckily the AEB motors arent plagued with crappy coils that burn out all the time. Do you have comparisons with these back to back with AEB coils?

I have not done a test with a car with AEB coils as there are not many BT builds in Vancouver.

From everything I have seen on the B6 platform, the AEB coilpacks outputs less spark than the rev R pushdown coilpacks which would attribute to their longevity.

Jim (onemoremile) has these ignition coils in his B5 A4. From what he said, he gets roughly 30mpg (he attributes this to the ignition coils) and they have higher voltage than any OEM ignition coil. I have Hitachi E units, and they are supposed to be the weakest out of all of them. R versions have the greater voltage, and is believed why they blow out so much. There was a test on them conducted on Audigeeks that gives the full explanation why they blow more, but am rather lazy to look it up right now.

Here is the reply from Okada in regards to the warranty:

The warranty is 1 year and replacement only.

If the coil pack fails they send it back to us for the replacement. The replacement coil has 1 year warranty as well.
