I purchased a 2011 S4 and opted for the ibex coating to help protect my paint. I waxed the car last week (by hand) with some McGuire's Gold Class (which I have used with some pretty good results in the past). It looked great in the daylight. However, now at night I have a bunch of swirls that look like grease on the car. They are not really swirls in the clear coat, but the car looks pretty bad when a strong light hits it directly at night. The first time I noticed was in a driveway when a car pulled perpendicular to mine with the headlights on - I was shocked! Any advice? Is this the wax not bonding to the ibex coating? Poor wax job by me? I am kind of lost and paranoid to damage my brilliant black finish. Thanks.

P.S. - I can try to get pictures if needed, but I am not sure how they will come out. [confused]

I bought it hoping it would seal the paint. Not sure if I should remove it or not. Really just want to make sure everything is protected and looks good.

clearcoat is there to seal the paint in there good.. you can buy sealent then wax which protects it from bird droppings, etc.

only thing I can say, until the pro's wake up and comment on the thread, is get out some paint cleaner/dish soap and then clay bar and do a section of your car then look at it under bright light. If it solves the problem then you know what to do. If it doesn't fix the problem, could be the paint protection and might need a professional detailer to fix it up good.

I'm no pro, but I'll ditto on this one. Dawn, good wash, dry - look at it under a powerful light/sunlight. If the swirls are gone, then clay up and apply a good sealant/wax combo. If not, take it to the dealer to have him fix it. If the treatment did not come with care instructions, demand the money back or reapplication.
