Hello, not new to the forum but just finally created an account. I was wondering if anybody knows where i can get a cheep performance exhaust in the albuquerque area? i dont really want to order one online but it seems i may have to break down and do it. Thanks in advance

x3!! magnaflow from a shop with custom work is much cheaper than the pre-made systems and they sound pretty damn good too. I've done it to 3 cars now and they haven't let me down yet.

Don't forget to pay extra for the stainless steel and mandrel bent.

.......................... on a 2.8 dont do anything but a muffler... it will be slower otherwise.

Lol yep

how do you figure? a smaller resonator would restrict less air right?

A 2.8 need back pressure to keep the power up. But you should be fine as long as you're running the oem cat.

I agree 100%, my flex pipes where leaking, and I had a horrible horrible performance. Since I repaired them, the difference was quite notable in power.

I have 2.5" from where the 2 pipes converge back to a flowmaster. Wouldn't say I noticed a real decrease in power. Sounds good too.

It's got to do with velocity and flow and a bunch of BS. Basically yes we could make more power with an exhaust but it would cost 2-4k to have multiple tests done to find the perfect combo and at least 4 hours worth of dyno pulls..........

Or you can stick with the stock exhaust and forget the 3-10 hp you could potentially gain and just put a magnaflow or your choice of muffler on the back.

You lose a lot of low end torque. The engine also feels more sluggish. That's just my experience though.

Made mine slow enough to do 0-60 in 8-9 seconds...... vs 6.5-7
