I have searched but did not find nothing solid, how ever i have some idea now, just i want some advices! This is the symptom of a 2000 1.8t ATW Audi A4 if i drive regularly not beating or revving no symptom BUT if i want to step on it i down shift clutch out and i step on the gas like there is no tomorrow and there it goes some sort of misfire or hell knows what but it feels like i have no power the engine is choking and just sounds weird sound like it is misfiring, only happens when i am around 3 to 5x1000 RPM and no light come on my instrument, Now my guesses: its the fuel filter, or its the injectors, or its the coil packs, or its the mass air flow sensor, or its the spark plugs, and thats it i cant think of nothing else. If you have any thought please help a hard working man out thanks to you all!

check you plugs for gapping.

i had a similar issue: when I was on the onramp to the freeway and had the a/c on, and I would revv the car to catch up to traffic, it would sort of lose power (it would like 'burp', or 'fart').

i fixed it by regapping my plugs to .028 or .032.

plug(s) or coil-pack(s) seem to be having an issue

coil packs. Find some one with Vag Com and figure out which cylinder is missing. Buy a new coil pack, replace, enjoy.

last time i had that issue it was my ignition control module, just a thought.

he has an ATW engine code so no separate ICM, its integrated into the coil packs. But even if you find a bad coil pack check the spark plug gapping. Improperly gapped plugs can lead to premature death of coil packs.

So your not getting a cel? If you don't have someone with VAG. Then you can still scan with regular scanner. To see if there is any soft codes. But everything you mentioned should be checked with also a possibility of bad battery and bad o2 sensor. But willing to bet spark plugs or coil pack. Spark plug is cheapest and easiest.
