and i love it.
not just love it. i truly do love it. i can get away from it.

do a compression test that will tell you what you want to know.

And find your coolant leak. Check the back of the head and the coolant hoses. Look for crusty pink stuff. You'll find it.

You'll be fine. Worst thing is that you'll bust some air hoses with the added air pressure.

man I'm hitting 200,000. and still moving forward with big turbo. But everything with motor checked fine. THen again I always build a motor anyway. So just do the typical checks leak down, comp, and if everything is correct then go for it. But it will eventually pop.

What oil are you using? Could only be a matter of shear.

Try some Castrol 5w-40 syntec.
5w-30 never gave me good results, lot of oil burning.
5w-50 was too tick and coocked some oil in the engine (sludged it), while it didn't burn any (I was on something there)
5w-40 is just right! Engine and oil stay clean, no more burning

be prepared to put in a new clutch and engine and transmission mounts if you go pc16.

like others said.. do a compression test. Those ko4 boost spikes can be tough on an old motor. Mine has 164445 on it as of now. I am the 2nd owner, had it for almost 2 years. Compression is perfect on mine :)
