@ idle your looking probably about 500-600 degrees. At cruise probably around 700, and at full snot about 1600-1800. The EM can glow red, even yellow under full load. An EGT of course would be a better tell tale than my numbers.

The bolts are likely stretching not coming lose. I was never able to find a successful solution to them stretching with my Elim setup. You could try some ARP hardware instead. Then use the thread lock you mentioned and nord lock washers.

no i doubt that they are stretching because i can thread them right back on... they are just rattling loose it seems... it take about a week or two of harsh driving to get them to loosen any (i know this isnt the leading factor, but it cant help that i have ABSOLUTELY SHOT motor mounts) (got new 034 street density mounts going in friday thank god)

What kind of nuts are you using?

idk lol. what do you mean? i didnt get the crush nut or whatever because they completely F up the threads to stay in and i didnt want that...

What do you mean crush nut? I looked on google for an image but couldn't find any. But I agree it could be the hardware stretching.

why not get this:

http://www.034motorsport.com/engine-components-18t-k03k04-turbo-locking-flange-p-1300.html

it is what came with my elim setup.

flynnr

cause i have a 'big turbo' and that flange is different than mine... that is for the stock turbo and elim setups which are 3 bolt in a triangle as opposed to mine which is 4

your idea is a good one though, i should have boughten these... oh well i have heard great things about what i bought, and was recommended to use it by imola motorsports guys

What grade are those bolts on the turbo? I would use 12.9's there. The Nord Lock washers may help. I thought you were running an Elim.

use grade 10 hardware or better.... spend the extra $2 on the good stuff.

then put it in a vice and smack the threads with a chisel.... this kinda creates its own locknut. tighten the bolts cold and then once again hot for good measure and you shouldnt have any more problems
