My ABS/Brake lights come on every day, after 15 mintues of driving. Sounds like I need to replace my EBCM. I looked to see if I have the style that is found under the back seat, and came across this little black box with this writing on it:
f+g megamos GmbH
4B0 951 173
ALARM-STEUERGERAT
My german translation is alarm-steering device

Doesn't make much sense to me. Does anyone know what this is for?

Thanks..........

well if the abs lite is one its got nothing to do with the alarm and central locking device. what you found i believe is the alarm brain under the rear seat that houses the anntena for the keyless entry. What you need to replace is your abs computer which is located on the pump in the engine bay

A STEUERGERAT .. Spelled Steuergerät is a controller, computer, or control unit.
