Hey all, I know after hard driving(lots of boost time) you should let your car idle before shut off to let things cool down but if I'm not pushing the car hard and rarely see boost for example- on my way to work, do I need to let the car idle to cool down the turbo???

Not really. The biggest thing to look at is your oil temp gauge. The hot oil is the big issue. If it pools in the turbo it cooks the bearings over time. The turbo will glow when it gets really hot, then you need to let it idle. My turbo timer lets you set two preset times. So you can say have a 45 sec and a 5 minute cool down preset.

They are for the Lazy and you have to leave your car (if stick) in Neutral. Just let it cool down and take your time. I have seen more of my friends screw up their wiring harness and one guy under warranty go to the dealership and they refused to work on his mess!
So the bottom line... is NO.
