My friend is Experiencing boost leak from here, and we want to take them out and seal them up real well.

From his injector location? I have never heard of losing boost from that location.

You need a hex head. On high mileage cars, it will just crack itself apart. Be sure the manifold is OUT of the car.

take a look at the pics, mani is out of the car. any way to do it without cracking them? so they are threaded in then?

and there is definately boost being lost there. the water w/ soap technique pin pointed it very quickly and obviously

They screw in I believe. Try maybe twisting from the inside of where the injectors go, or use a bolt head, and push from the inside of the intake manifold while twisting.

ECS has new ones of these for ~$4 each.

99% chance of them cracking, they get super brittle and disintegrate. i wouls just replace the 4 of them and be sure it wont be an issue again.

You will need new injector seals too in case the cracked seat has split the rubber etc
