Ok. Been looking around a lot for rims. Found these on ebay:

And so far of those only this one fits:

Whats so different about the rims in the last link that makes it fit my vehicle? I've seen other member's cars with the rims from the first three links. I'm confused... Hopefully someone can help me sort out my confusion!

Cheers

Mike

bolt pattern seems fine 5x112, ummm
aside from the offset which is no biggy i dont see why they wouldnt fit your car

yeah the only thing is the offset. stock offset for the b5 is 35mm... lou can always run a spacer as needed. should be no biggie. get the 18" rs4's.... ;)

All of them would fit not sure about the 18" with ET 20 as that is pretty agressive for the width, not sure of ideal width to offset on the B5 A4 though. The other sets would fit but spacers would probably be ideal to flush things up. I would check some of the sponsored sellers here as they can help you more specifically with exact fitment.

aka only problem is offset

yes the only "problem" would be offset which can be changed easily with spacers. I would also recommend the 18s for looks

Stock offset is about ET45. Just find some rims that have a 35 offset to begin with and you are set. Remember, 5x112 & ET35

Who are the sponsored sellers? I am relatively new to this site

With ET of 20 that just means that the wheel will stick out right? So I would only need spacers for wheels that would stick in (instead of stick out)...right? lol. In other words, would I only need spacers for those rims that are farther inside the wheel well (larger ET than stock)?

I thought they were 45!
The last link is for 45's. The first and third link have offsets of 42 which is pretty close to stock. Ideally these would fit the best. Nice to find you on the forums!

Check the group Buy Section, and check the classifieds as deals can often be found there.

The best offset for an 8" wide wheel is 35. I've run a few different sets like this and they fit perfectly. Try Velocity or another of our vendors to see what they have available. Some of that ebay stuff is really questionable quality.

I have 8.5 wide and with 35 offset i am PERFECTLY flush with my fenders and i cant tell you how many compliments i get everyday on how good it looks. 8.0 wide with 35 would look good too

IMHO, find ET35 and get those. You will regret getting ET42.

you are also forgetting.. if they fit b8's, then the center bore is bigger and YOU will need hub centric rings

35 fits the best. 45 sticks in almost an inch depending on the wheel width. I run 18x8.5" et35 and love it

What if I get et45 with 5 or 10 mm spacers?
