Ok, so aparently the prior owner of my poor b5 put stop leak in the coolant system, because the waterneck on the back of the block was missing a bolt and was leaking. Now after fixing it and replacing every cooling part in the car it still will not circulate coolant. I did do the headgasket too. Anyone have a brilliant idea how to fix this short of tearing it apart and hot tanking the block?

Perhaps one of those products like BG Coolant flush might help. You changed the water pump, yes?

Yes the water pump is brand new as is the radiator. I'm picking up a spare motor today but I would hate to have to do a re-build on a motor with only 100K on it for something like that.

try to do several coolant flushes, if so hook up a garden hose to the upper rad hose and turn it on full blast and hopefully it will unclog everything
