Took a trip to Martha's Vinyard, MA this weekend. Put her on a boat to the island, locked her up down and went up to get a beer.
Halfway, get a message over the boats display "Will the owner of a grey audi please come down'....so I run down, expecting the alarm..well..it was the alarm...the boat was swaying and which triggered the alarm. So I unlock the door, and left the car unlocked.
Any ideas to prevent this ?
20 minutes later, will the owner of a black audi, please come down.
There is this another switch under the trunk opener. I think pulling the switch will disable the car alarm from the fluctuation/movement. It's in the manual book.

Maybe turn off the tilt sensor (the switch by the gap and trunk switch).

I have a grey one.
Someone else had a black one on the boat and their alarm went off later as well. Pretty funny.

If you hit the unlock button but don't open a door the car will lock back up again and the alarm will turn back on. Other than that, like the others said turn of the tilt sensor.
