Set out this morning to replace my cam follower and yup Mr. muscles’ broke the female connector on top the fuel pump in half. Anyone have a clue if this part of the connector is a replaceable item? Or do I have to buy a new pump?

looks like a good excuse to go with an aftermarket fuel pump.

Prob. correct I may have to take my chances and send it to APR for a rebuild and hope they have a replacement connector to pop on while it’s apart. Temp fix for now I glued it back together and car seems to be running well.

That sensor went out on me not too long ago. You might need to get a new one. Its about $50 at the dealer.
Be careful with plastic stuff. With those plugs its always good to push it in before you pull them out. It helps.

Same thing happened to me....my mechanic cracked the same sensor and had to ziptie the connection....no problems to report....shit happens.

ya, not a big deal...as long as you can just connect and it doesnt unplug dont worry about it!

With those plugs its always good to push it in before you pull them out. It helps.

I see two conductors. You could probably epoxy the piece you broke off and be fine.

Ummmm, not to be a pesamist(sp?) but i'm pretty sure that part is not replaceable as you would need a new HPFP... I may be wrong though, if I am someone please show me a link to a site with that part number please.

Its a sensor i believe to the lpfp or something like that. when i first did some logging my actual fuel was sooo low, mechanic thought it might be that sensor so i replaced it did some more logs and it did help a lot but still short on fuel. Here is a pic of what it looks like taken off the pump.

I think the part number is on the sensor. Think you can see it once you take it off.

you should be good to go with just a zip tie around the plug to hold it in place. this happened on my headlight plug and i didn't even put a zip tie onto it, and it held for 2+ years before i sold the car. the wiring harness prob. isn't going to cost a lot unless you do go to the dealer like you plan on doing...i wouldn't recommend it unless you want to pay 3x the appropriate amount.
next time actually push the plug toward its closed position, stick a large flat head into the clip and turn 180 degrees, then pull the plug apart and you won't have any problems. this is what needs to be done every time you unplug the coil packs to replace your spark plugs.
