I swapped in a AEB and so far i've been having problems.
Here are the symptoms:

P1545 TPS sensor
Car starts then dies instantly will rev up to 1k
If you gas it it will rev up then die

Vag states:
VCDS-Lite Version: Release 1.0
Thursday, 27 May 2010, 15:09:02:33307
4 Faults Found:

17967 - Throttle Body (J338): Fault in basic settings
P1559 - 35-00 - -
17973 - Throttle Actuator (J338): Lower Stop not Reached
P1565 - 35-00 - -
17953 - Throttle Valve Controller: Malfunction
P1545 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

What I've done:
Throttle body calibration will not work
I've used two different throttle bodies and both will not calibrate properly
The harness into the throttle body tests properly for the correct voltage

I also deleted the vacuum lines following the write up, adding a catch can from the crank breather hose into the TIP.

Anything ideas you have will help

Looking into it.

Edit: I do not see any reason that it would be the immobilizer, for it to be the immobilizer it would not allow me to keep pressing the gas every second lightly to allow the car to stay on. Second of all, that would have came up when I vagged the car. Also, is there not a light that flashes when the immobilizer kicks on?

Bad ecu. I've seen this problem on an A6. Wouldn't idle and you could barely drive it. Would throw codes for the throttle body instantly. Tried a brand new Throttle body/TPS, no change. Put the ecu in a known working car, same symptoms. Replaced ECU and problems are gone. Maybe somebody near you can swap ECU's with you and see what's up.

The car blew the engine becasue of the motor was hydro locked. This seems very probable.

Would anyone else diagnose the ecu?

Oh, to add a bit more info on the bad ECU thing. On the A6, it would NOT read throttle position (angle) in vag-com. It should do this with the key on, the engine does not need to be running. With the new TB, it still would not read the throttle angle. The new (junkyard) ECU read throttle angle without issue.

If you car gives the same symptoms, I'd try an ECU next. Easy thing to check in vag-com. Good Luck.

I realize you want to hear from someone else, so I'll shut up now.

If you tried to do a TBA with VAG, you should try using the key method instead.
