I just did the Bilstein Sport Shocks, and H&R Race, and it lowered about 2", this weekend I'll measure the ride height.

Will the H&R Springs fit on stock shocks?

Will the H&R Springs fit on stock shocks?
Yes
now I wouldn't recommend this but when I first started on my A4
I did H&R race springs and stock sport shocks
and they lasted a long time now I dont really drive the A4 very much
so that would help the length of time you can use sport shocks on race springs
but yeah the stock shocks will fit the new springs no problem

Yup, I backed out of a friends driveway and dropped off the lip from his drive to the road. Usually the crossmember would take the impact but since the crossmemebr was already over the street the oil pan took the full force of the impact. Tiny dime sized hole. Something told me to stop and look so I pulled over and noticed. Drove to Homedepot for JB weld and autozone for oil. Made it back to Philly from Hagerstown MD. with a JB welded pan and stopping every 20 minutes to check the oil level.

Yup I cracked mine also with these stupid california speed bumps
I understand there was some sort of lawsuit against H&R
because their race springs would sag after a while
My A4 is pretty low now after 3 years with the H&R race
I couldn't tell you how much lower then what they projected but
it definitely hit the 2inch drop mark

Yea I bought mine used for $150 so they were pre-sagged. Only two finger widths between the rear fender lip and the top of the tire. Up front I had to roll the fenders. : )

holy cow. thats some crazy story.

i bought them because my suspension is shot. the shocks are rubbing agianst the strut, they are making an unbearable noise.
but if the car comes down that low. holyshit. i go to college upstate new york...and the snow there is like 1 foot

do yu have pics of your car. i would like to see the stance??

I have a great pic with the Stock 16's back on. Usually I'm running BBS reps 18". You can see the tire goes up above the fender line in the shadow of the fender. Rides very nice actually.

Decent shots of the 18's

well I was charged $50 for both sides BUT
you can do it your self and don't let anyone tell you different
all you need is a rubber mallet raise the car up and remove the wheels
hammer the lip down your self its very easy and very fast

I just Heated up the lip with a heat gun to soften the paint so it doesnt crack and peel when you roll the fenders. Then I use a long wrench with the tires on the car and the car on the ground to pry up on the fender using the tire as a leverage point all the way around the fender well. Worked perfectly!

yeah that would work too
I still like the rubber mallet better though haha
but yeah if you want heat up the lip area of the fender where the bend is because you dotn want the paint cracking
I rolled the fender on two cars with the mallet and no heat gun and the paint didnt chip but just to be careful heat it up

yup no problem you'll only have to do the front the rear fenders dont have a lip (at least mine doesnt)
take your time but it should go pretty fast

If you get 225 tires with a et 35 offset, you will not need to roll your fenders. I had 225 /8.5/18 and it did not rub. I went to 235 and it rubbed...
