I have a 2008 Ibis 2.0 titanium sport that's minorly modded. I kinda feel like I'm stuck and a bit bored. I need a small $500 project to shake things up. Any ideas? I'll go looks or performance.

I dont know who makes chips for your year...but im sure they are out there. It would run you ~$600, but your car would be a lot more torquey and fun to drive.

edit: scratch that, you already have an apr...start saving your money!

034 HFC or maybe RS4 grill. Both should run you somewhere under $500 if you do the work yourself.

I don't see exhaust up there! A loud exhaust is fun for a very long time. I never get tired of opening it up along walls and through tunnels. LOVE that sound!

Some options in that budget would include stainless steel brake lines and/or upgrade pads (and maybe rotors). RS4 pedals run around $200 (I think the '08s already have that right?). Also a Stasis diff upgrade is $550 (plus install), a bit of a stretch. You might also be able to get an exhaust shop to do a custom exhaust in that price range (probably stretching it there too). You might be able to get different wheels, keeping the same tires. If you don't have a VAG-COM cable, that is a worthwhile investment. Lastly, Fly's LED headlights go for that budget range if so inclined.

You can probably get a test pipe, k&n, and power pulley for 500$ and depending whether you buy new or used, that might even cover labor. Good Luck.

I am thinking about Adam's rotors front and rear which are $450 (+$50 for painted hat)...right at your budget. It's a nice appearance (and small performance upgrade) and of course a maintenance item as well.

testpipe or HFC would give you the best bang for your buck. Probably one of the best upgrades i made when i first got my car. Then move on to exhaust and upgrade your HPFP and you will be having some fun for some time!

I would say a set of VMR's (used to stay under $500). But I see you have the TIT package and the wheels are decent.

I know on the Tex there was a company selling APR HPFP's for around $550 or so. It is the rebuild, but they did it with a core charge. Where they would send you the new one (charge your card the full amount of course), an then when you send them your stock on they would refund the difference. Kind of wish more companies would do that....

See that's the thing. A HFC isn't gonna do it (no offence 034, I want that cat). But I need something to make me fall back in love. I can't see the HFC and I don't feel like it'll be enough.

What about carbon fiber interior from O Carbon? A slight change from piano black interior but would still keep that Ti package look.

Well the HFC is not a "looks" mod. Trust me, you will FEEL the HFC or TP. Once you step on the pedal and you feel that low end torque throw you back in your seat you will fall in love with your car again.

Really? I guess I haven't really paid that much attention. Will an HFC pass a smog test?
