how to price my d2 s8?

what is a fair asking price for a 2001 s8, 137xxx on the clock, fresh front control arms, rebuilt front cv joints, and front and rear brake pads (ebc red stuff). black on black fairly good condition needs nothing mechanically. exterior 8 out of 10... interior 7 out of 10. the prices are all over the place on these cars.

If you really want it to sell, I would say anywhere between $7K to $8K...I'm interested if you're the original owner.

I'm the second owner... bought it in jan with 134000 on it. No nav, no parking assist. the sport seats come standard mine are black leather.
options are premium comfort package which includes ski sack, power rear sunshade and manual rear window sunshades.
all other equipment is standard and can be found here (http://www.audiworld.com/model/s8/01/specs.shtml) ... also has a full size spare.

I'm not pointing this out to be a jerk, just that as a person looking for a S8, I want the sport Recaro seats. And I would pay more for them.

Mine are the sport seats for sure. The non-sport seats are hideous. actually the black interior in your post is just like mine. I didn't think you were being a jerk at all. I was just misinformed about the seats.

I recently saw one on CL for 18K. I dont think he'll get that much for it but I think 12-14k should be fine.

A ballpark estimate may be had from Edmunds or Kelley Blue Book.

I went to www.edmunds.com, picked zip code 07101 (Newark, Main PO) and used the OPs description (didn't say what options it has, so I did not select any). I selected average condition - trade-in would get you about $7000, private party sale would get you about $8400, and dealer retail would be about $10K. Clean condition only adds about $2K to the average values, and outstanding condition only adds about $3K to the average values. Adding all options except solar sunroof adds only about $350 to the above estimates.

I've been looking at OP's car for a while now and it's very nice but the miles are a bit high for the price. I think at $8k, it would be gone quickly. At $10.5K, people like me are thinking about it.
