Lack of A8/S8 parts in classifieds

I was searching for some parts on A8/S8 since im planning on buying one(hopefully in a near future) and there was none. How do you guys find after market parts?

I saw one A8 on a junk yard, is it the only place to get parts for this cars? I searched pureMS, mjmautohaus, and few other website and nobody offered any parts for any A8/S8. Kinda makes me worry if it worth buying without any parts support.

I like the way they look and great luxury for the price, but now im wondering how im gonna fix it if something breaks or what aftermarket parts available? its not a problem to find D2 for ~$5k

Well the production numbers are the reason why aftermarket companies don't really make anything for the D2. The only aftermarket parts for the D2 are Coilovers, Air ride, Wheels, BBK, exhaust and superchargers. Not much, you want aftermarket gotta do it custom one off or contact the company and see if they can make you the part, but it will cost you an arm and a leg. OEM parts look to OEM Plus, ECS tuning, Europrice, etc. You just gotta do your research and know where to look. Personally, I've owned my D2 for almost 3 years and still searching and doing research.

Thanks, i guess i have to do more research. By the way why resale value is so low? It is the biggest audi sedan right, full luxury and stuff, but now even D3 you can find under $15K why is it this way? reliability, expensive service, or what? there is old b5 s4s go higher than that. I love audi's and extremely miss mine, even though second a4 was a complete lemon, i want stay in audi family but this time i want to move up [:)] and get something more luxurious

The demand is higher for the B5 S4 than it is for a D2 or D3 A8/S8 and has more aftermarket parts readily available than the D2/D3.
