View Full Version : To paint, or not to paint: that is the question.

I will be sending my headlights out to Phil sometime next week to have his LED mod installed, but I'm stuck on the fence on whether or not to paint the inner housing black, or to leave it alone. My car is brilliant black and I'm worried that if I paint the headlights black they won't stand out as much. I also don't know whether or not to CC them. I posted a few pictures in the photoshop request thread so if anyone wants to help out a brother in need I'd really appreciate it. Also, let me know what you think would look better.. and be honest! [:D]

Thanks!

Well, since I already have the Ti package and tinted tails, I might as well black them out to keep the theme going.

Right?

CC but don't paint! black out headlight never looks good on a black car. you will regret it if you did.

Right?

painting the inner housing black DOES NOT mean you are keeping the theme with the Ti package. it'd only look right on light color cars. its about balance and contrast.

Hmm.. this is becoming a much harder decision than I imagined. If anyone can chop some pics for me, it would really make things easier.

CC but don't paint them. I've never been a big fan of the blacked out headlights.

Being that I have to black out the housings since there is no chrome paint to use on the LED strip, I did an amateur chop to get an idea of what it's going to look like and I'm pretty satisfied with the outcome. Let me know what you think!
