what are people using to clean the dash and the door panels as well as all the plastic and other areas around the center counsel? I wouldnt mind the wet shinny look however on all my cars in the past this always resulted in s slick waxy surface I didnt like. I have had my car for a few years and have never done anything to these areas other than swiffer wipes to clean the dust and what not.

over the counter stuff would be preferable as well as i dont really want to order anything.

Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.

i order einsZett cockpit for the dash and most of the interior. not sure what the best option would be at a local store... probably a meguiars product. not armor all.

I think it was armour all on all my previous cars that left the slick waxy residue and I refuse to use that. I got black magic pro shine protectant, but just not sure of how the results will be yet. I guess I will just find out in the morning when I detail it.

Probably the same as armor all. Post up the results. This is why I never do anything on the interior of my car lol.

and thats what I am afraid of is that armour all finish, maybe I will just do the leather and wipe everything else down and find something new. I have seen a lot of good reviews about this Einszett's "Cockpit" from Detailer's Domain but I just dont want to order anything. I have also seen good things about Meguires Quick Interior detailer so maybe i will run down to the local store and see if they have this in stock.

I'm not impressed with quick interior detail from Meguires or the eagle one equivalent in the blue bottle. It def isn't the armor all nasty feel after using it, but it doesn't look like it does much. Not sure how to explain it.

In the end I just blow out the vents and the dash after vacuuming the car, and maybe wipe down the dash with a damp cloth.

+1 on the 1z cockpit. You will not be disappointed in the product. Just order from Phil @ detailers domain. He ships extremely quickly

Einz Cockpit set - the light and heavy, I forget the names. Incredible - the heavier one actually removed some wax residue on my rear valance that had been there for about 5 mos!

Inside - gorgeous matte finish, no residue, no slick feeling, just very OEM.

honestly, at least where i live, there is nothing available in the stores that i would use regularly on my car besides maybe quick detailer or glass cleaner. ordering online is the way to go if you want high quality products. and detailersdomain is the way to go if you want high quality online ordering.

Used Einzett Cockpit yesterday. Love it! The dash looks like new with a OEM matte finnish, and the smell is "new german car"! :)

303 Aerospace Protectant....awesome product you can use on the inside and outside of your car. Cleans and protects for UV rays and leaves a nice finish.

yeah 303 is awesome, might get some more after my 1z runs out, or also try some smartdressing.

Iz Cockpit Premium contains UV protection and will provide a matte finish similar to OEM finish

I have all three. My personal favorite is the 1z cockpit. It is amaing stuff. The 303 is also universal so you can use it on so many different appliations. The Megs quick interior deatiler is good too, and it is usually found in your local stores (walmart, target, etc) at a cheap price. If you want a good product with out having to order, go with the Megs.

I've always had good luck with the Meguiars Quick Interior Detailer, it does nor leave a sticky residue, and leave a matte finish...

1z cockpit. I ordered a bottle and used it for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I will never use anything else on my interior from now on. Great product!!!

so, now that my dash and interior plastics are looking awesome...I realize I need some leather/seat cleaner. Preferably spray on just like the cockpit cleaner with a nice lemon "zest" smell ;) suggestions??
