So Summer is here, and I have put off buying rims. Alas I think I'm finally ready to move forward but I need advice from those more comfortable in fitment.

I'm looking seriously at the Team Dynamics Racing Pro 1.2 (http://www.teamdynamicsracing.com/pro-race/Pro-race12.htm)
These have much of what I am looking for in a rim, weight most importantly, durability the second factor and both for a "almost" reasonable price. They also offer lots of widths and offsets that have me concerned i that I could mis-order a set.

I'll ask for no debate on the 17" size please, I'm old, and prefer both the lower cost of good 17" tires (looking at the RE-11), and comfort a higher sidewall gives me. I know this is bad call for many of you , but it is just the way i am, sorry...[:(]
I find very little discussion on the forum when talking 17" rims, but one steered me to TDR, and I liked what I see.

Here is my question(s) when looking at these 17" rims. (Keep in mind I am on Eibach springs and FSD shocks, so I do sit a tad lower than an S-line.)
I would like to go as wide as possible, and see up to 9" available. Is that doable without the tires protruding from the wheel wells? They have a good selection of offsets (35/40/45), so which would be my better bet? If 9s don't work, how far down do i need to look (8.5"?) and what offset?

I really want the wheels to fit into the well properly, and not protrude from them like I see on many ricer cars. In fact the stance of my OEM rims look just fine, but I just want as wide as i can get while retaining it.

Thoughts?
Ideas?

Many thanks in advance. [hail]

i think that the smaller wheel is always the best choice. 19s look a bit big and unnecessary IMO. and im a young guy (21) i just never bought into the whole rims thing

I know this isn't the same, but one of my B6 friends is running Work Emotions, which are 18x8.5" (the 18" doesn't really matter so much as the 8.5"), et 38 or 40, with 255/40/18's and no rubbing. So I would guess that with a combination of 8.5" wheels and the 40 offset, you should definitely be able to run 245's, and might be able to squeak out 255's. But I'm no tire expert...just my opinion.

The other thing you need to watch out for is the width...I read just the other day that the RE-11's tend to run on the wide side and have a very square shoulder.
